This photo was created from a composite of 2 HDR photos, each using 6 photos that originated as camera raw. It was done using Adobe Camera Raw (via Bridge), Noise Ninja, LightZone, PhotoMatix Pro, Adobe Photoshop CS3, and then LightZone again. The camera was an EOS 1D Mark III attached to a 127mm Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope. With the cameras 1.3X cropping factor, the camera-telescope system operates with a focal length of 1997mm at f/12.1. The Moon just fills the frame at this magnification.
