I am willing to travel to locations in the SF Bay Area for work.

My full, online portfolio is located at Tribe.net:

not really a "discussion topic," Per. Maybe post this kind of stuff in LISTINGS next time?

It's been my experience that I only get responses from posting in discussion threads, not in listings. Kate, does it bother you that I posted here? Does it bother anyone else? Sometimes it isn't immediately obvious to me where it is or is not appropriate to post.

doesnt bother me, in fact found it useful...

Although "*Night* Model" did worry me a little at first :) Is that someone who only looks good under low light :)

Fortunately I know thats not the case...

Dont mean to tease you Per...

yeah, it bothers me. maybe it's my inner librarian, but I think there's a more appropriate place to list your services. Namely, it helps others on tribe when they engage a search for "services." Post where you want, but I know I'm not the first to say, hey, that's not a discussion topic.

Eh, generally, I prefer to see my ads in the ads and listing section. But I can usually glide over an obvious ad in a discussion space if there seems to be some sort of proper connection.

          If I'm moderating, that's different. ;)

          "not a discussion topic."

Evidently you seem to have disproved yourself :)

I'm not sure I understand. Can you elaborate?

Kate was whining about this not being a subject of discussion (Per modelling), however, we seem to be discussing it...

Then I looked at Kate's tribes and she is in this 'haters' tribe so, it kind of makes sense now.

Kate doesn't strike me as someone who's trolling, just someone who doesn't like ads in the discussion threads. Its reasonable. Ads in threads, especially those that are cross-posted across several photo tribes, can grate a bit. This tribe has been generally ad-free though.

Per's post is somewhat relative, but its still an ad. But at the same time, I know what Per means about Discussion threads getting more notice. I rarely read the Listings sections of Tribe. But I would if I were searching for a service.

Right you are, Alan, not a trolling hater. Just like my peas separate from my carrots.

True, may have over-stepped my bounds as I am not at all the mod, but Daren, might I suggest you join Polyemnity so you can have a new and unique outlet for your snarkiness? It's fun as hell, really.

nah, thanks though, im not big into hating anything; I thought the whole thing very silly actually, people suggesting how to let tires down when someone parks too close... not my style

You know, I was thinkin, I can understand why folks don't want ads in discussion threads. In America, we come across literally thousands of ads every day, and we get really good at blocking them out, so advertisers get more and more invasive. I recently saw an ad for a website on the door of a public stall I was pissing in at school, and I thought that was really irritating. I hate to be an invasive advertiser, but it works, and I have to pay my fucking health insurance, and my rent went up, and I'm $36K in debt from school and not even half way done... While I take responsibility for my actions, ultimately I blame capitalism...

Daren, you're sweet, and I'm looking forward to working with you on Thursday.
