great photos!
Thu, June 17, 2004 - 10:59 AMI really like the scientific influence and alternative processes. A lot of fun to look at.
How much do you plan ahead for these types of shots or are you doing this relatively spontaneously? -

Some of them I had to make certain types of light source.
Some of them were spontaneous, but with special film, i.e. Kodak Photomicrography color film or Kodak color Infrared.
Some of them were very planned. You need to shoot a lot of film! And bracket the exposures, especially with an unfamiliar filmstock.
Others were just playing around, driving around, seeing what will look good.

Terrific!
I think your Oxford shots (at LOCATION) are good examples of night photography that works.
I loke many of your face shots, especially the extreme close ups; I like your use of an extreme wide angle lens too.

Re: Have a site? Lets see your work.
Sat, March 5, 2005 - 6:08 PMI really began getting into photography this year, and even more recently began learning about web pages. So I have some of my older stuff from this last fall on a site I'm using as a learning source. I'm learning HTML right now, so the site is still all crapy microsoft word formatting so it won't work with all programs.
But hey, if it works on yours, take a look at "my first photographic display." That's a collection of photos I took at night. Let me know what you think. As a new photographer I'm eager for critizism and ways to improve.

Re: Have a site? Lets see your work.
Sun, April 3, 2005 - 4:57 PMdude, you're work is awesome! I specially like the b/w prints and the portrits. I love your "tilted" eye and your unusual way of framing objects/people. Good work!
Now, if anyone wants to check out my stuff, it's on www.luizaleite.com
night stuff is around Big Dig (crazy construction site in Boston, Mass.) and on burning man pics 11 till 21. Enjoy, and feedback would be appreciated! -

Re: Have a site? Lets see your work.
Mon, April 4, 2005 - 1:59 PMi like the use of lines in your work. they are obviously an important aspect in many of your compositions. this helps move the viewers eye through your pieces. nice. i also like how you are attacking scenes in alternate ways. i can feel that you are seeking out interesting angles and paying very close attention to setting up visually pleasing shapes/juxtapositions. this seperates you from others. me likes.

Re: Have a site? Lets see your work.
Thu, September 7, 2006 - 6:21 PMhey, Joe. I'm viewing your site on a PC laptop using Firefox, and I can tell that for each gallery your images seem to go off the screen to the right, but I don't have a right scroll bar. So I can only see the first 2 or 3 of your images.
Thought you might like to know. I like the quick-loading Flash menu bar, though.
